Till date, the Rajasthan Housing Board, has provided
houses for more than 1.50 lakh people. Mansarovar, one
of Asia's biggest housing colonies, with 27,000 houses
and flats, was conceived and planned by the Board in
December, 1983 and is expected to be completed by 2002.
Their next project, Pratapnagar, Jaipur has already
gained much praise and attention. Planned in different
sectors the colony will house homes for all income groups.
A major part of which has already been allotted to residents.
At present, the Board is working on the Jagatpura Housing
Scheme at Jaipur, where houses are being offered at
reasonable prices.
In fact, to add mobility to the state's development,
the Board has made budget outlay of Rs. 139.83 million
for the year 2000-01. The Board is also in the process
of blueprinting residencies. Targeting EWS, LIG and
MIG categories... this will give around 2,042 families
a chance to create their own homes.
